Description
Optimus Prime traveled to the citadel fortress of Kolkular in Kaon to try to reason with his former brother-in-arms, Megatron. He wanted to convince the leader of the Decepticons to change his mind about conquering Cybertron and make a peace treaty with the Autobots.

Optimus Prime: Megatron?....Megatron?

Megatron: (sarcastically) Oh, let me guess. You want me to…let this dark past go.

Optimus Prime: I hoped I would find you here.

Megatron: Get out! (throws a goblet at Optimus)

Optimus Prime: Megatron, we must bring this to an end.

Megatron remains silent.

Optimus Prime: Megatron, please. Talk to me. We could always talk here. (pause) This place…so many memories…I remember the time you…(chuckles) Switched the heads of the Primes in the Temple of Primus.

Optimus’ soft smile turns mellow and he was about to walk off when Megatron finally spoke.

Megatron: If I recall correctly, you were there switching heads right along with me.

Optimus Prime: No, that was you, I didn’t do that.

Megatron: Oh, yes you did. You put the Scraplet on the pillar and the pillar…

Optimus Prime: (remembers) …On the tribute.

Megatron: Yes! And the priest thought it was a horrible omen and didn’t consume Energon for two months! Alpha Trion was furious with me! You were always getting me into trouble! (pauses as his expression softens) But then…(chuckles) You were always there to get me…out of trouble again. Hmm. Why can’t things be the way there were before?

Optimus Prime paused before he noticed a little 3-year-old sparkling mech who almost bore a resemblance to Megatron. Megatron sees that his enemy isn’t making eye contact with him.

Megatron: What are you looking at?

Optimus Prime: Is that…?

Orion Eclipse: F…Father?

Megatron turns around and sees his son before his fatherly instincts kicked in as he feared that Optimus Prime would harm or kidnap his offspring. Megatron quickly went up to pick up his son before he began to run away with his child.

Optimus Prime: Megatron, wait!

Optimus chased after Megatron before the warlord stopped at a dead end while carrying his son.

Optimus Prime: Megatron? (sees the sparkling in Megatron’s arms) Why do you have a sparkling?

Megatron: (pauses and takes a deep breath) To answer your question. The sparkling is my son and I’m a father now.

Optimus Prime: You have a son?

Megatron: Yes.

Optimus Prime: Who’s the mother?

Megatron: Firestar. My beloved. My sparkmate. My queen. My son’s name is Orion Eclipse.

Optimus Prime: (surprised) You…you named your son after…

Megatron: You? When you were Orion Pax? Yes. I named my son after you to remember the brotherhood we once shared…before you betrayed me.

Optimus Prime: I never…(sigh) I understand you’re still angry with me. But Megatron, we have to end this war and make a peace treaty before it's too late.

Megatron: No…It’s already too late, Prime. But I’m not the only bot who’s become a father. You, Optimus, have sired a daughter with Elita-One, did you not?

Optimus Prime: (shocked) How did you…?

Megatron: Soundwave informed me of Altair Comet’s birth after I sent him to spy on you. Do not worry though, “brother”. I won’t go after your sparkmate and your child…yet.

Optimus Prime: You leave my family alone, Megatron.

Megatron: Oh, I will. As long as you leave my family alone and stay out of my way.

Orion Eclipse: Father? It’s so dark in here. I’m scared.

Megatron: (comforting his son) Shh, it’s alright, Orion. I’m here. I’m here. (glares at Optimus Prime) You shouldn’t have come here, Prime. You and I both know that this war won’t be over until we either destroy one another or defeat one another.

Optimus Prime: I know, Megatron. But I don’t want your son to grow up in a war as much as I don’t want my daughter to grow up in this war.

Megatron: (looks at his scared son and glares at Optimus again) Get out. Leave me and my family alone.

Optimus Prime: But we have to stop this war.

Megatron: No. I hate you. You’ve brought me nothing but suffering and I hate you. I will not be dictated to by the likes of you, Optimus Prime. Now leave. NOW.

Optimus Prime: (makes a sad expression) Okay. I will leave. Goodbye, my brother.

Megatron: Don’t. Call me. Brother.

Optimus Prime leaves Kolkular and returns to Iacon.
