Description
Wiesel (Weasel) Armoured Weapons Carrier. It is a light air-transportable armoured fighting vehicle developed for the German Airborne troops when it became apparent they lacked heavy weapons.It is similar to early scouting Tankettes in size and funtion. Just enough armouring against small arms fire and machine guns.
Crew: Up to 3 people fit inside.
There are several variations in service;
Armed with a 20mm Autocannon (pictured).
TOW Anti-Tank missile.
Ambulance.
Mortar carrier.
Mine Sweeper.
etc.
This one bears the paint scheme of the ISAF mission.

Btw this is a weasle 1 ( 4 road wheels) with a 20mm gun, which only had 2 people inside.

One "killed" a Leopard 2A6 in an exercise and the Leo didn't even know it was there. They saw some thermal signatures in the forest but it could have been wildlife and so they couldn't engage it for sure without knowing if it was a friend or foe.

Hey, vielleicht solltest du dein anderes Bild von diesem Waffenträger umbenennen, der Titel ist etwas missverständlich. Immerhin ist der Wiesel 2 was anderes. Diesen hier gibts in der Truppe mit MK 20 und mit TOW, den Wiesel 2 hingegen habe ich nur als Verwundetentransporter, als Ozelot und (auf Bildern) mit Mörser gesehen. War bei ner schweren Kompanie als Wehrdienstleistender, daher der Kommentar.

Wird gemacht. Ich kenne mich nicht aus mit diese dinger. Ich selbst bin in einer Panzerbatallion und ein OFw hat und erzählt wie gefährlich ein Wiesel mit ein TOW ist gegen ein Kampfpanzer.

Kommt auch auf die Art von TOW an. Da gibts zig verschiedene meinten die aus dem TOW Zug.
