Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! I hope you don't mind that I used it here as a reference to try out digital oil painting. [link] Thank you.
And don't worry, I edited the eyes. I purposefully mixed my own colours for the eye special for you.

Thank you. If you have Photoshop, you should give it a try.
PS: I never understood the "give a llama get a llama" thing until now. xD Thank you, I guess? XD I'm still new to DA. lol

Well I'm just getting in to digital painting and so far I've gone with the sfumato type of brushstroke, but I hope to get more expressionistic/impressionistic or do mass gesture eventually. Lol and you're welcome they're really not worth anything unless you want a llama herd

I just searched up the style. It looks cool! Time-consuming, but cool. I've always more liked the detail and form from impressionistic brushing.
A llama herd doesn't sound half bad.

Oh, I'm a perfectionist too! I did that today with another of the oil-painting-reference variety. xD I was slightly annoyed that the eye one ended up looking so much like the original after smoothing it out so much (when I was originally done, it looked a lot different but I swear I have OCD or something), so I made another one with a different reference. \ I made sure to make it WAY different. The original looks kind of *cough cough* slutty *cough cough* because it's a model shot, but I made it look more emotive (using DA's word for it). ^_^ Because of that, I had all the originality satisfaction that I could possibly want, so I felt guilt-free about smoothing the heck out of it. xD But I don't want to post it, because the person still hasn't responded on me using it (though it was in newest when I saw it). I'm not even sure he/she speaks English.
Haha, whatever. They can't argue with linkbacks, right? ...Right? :C

I have too, my prof says that I tend to be too much of a perfectionist though, so I always end up smoothing everything out...hah.
