Description
Old lineart of my Mahariel and Tamlen before the events of Dragon Age Origins, when everything was well and peaceful. Needless to say I needed a shitton of references but I think anatomy-wise it works out.The dalish origin in DA Origins still rips my heart out every time. I am really mad at Bioware for not providing me with a Happy Ending for my Mahariel and Tamlen. So yeah... really bitter about that. And you know... having to kill him after having lost him once already. Dick-move Bioware.
Dragon Age belongs to Bioware

I love the pose, and the affection between the two~! :hear
I do wish that Bioware could have expanded a little more about their relationship... although for me, he almost reminded me of an older, protective brother.
Maybe that's just me. A lovely piece, regardless. ^w^

Thank you! and I agree. I mean it is meant to be only the origin story of the Warden not the whole game
but I think the fandom has proven to get attached to characters that weren't meant to have such a great part of the games.
But I adore that they only premade the outlines of the origin (i.e. setting, storyline) and left the rest for the player to decide.
I'm pretty sure that there is a dialogue option in the dalish origin (similar to the Gilmore/Cousland and Aeducan/bodyguard dwarf)
that hints at a romantic relationship. (then again I haven't played the origins in some time so I might be wrong about that)
But again it's up to the individual player to decide. Protective older brother figure is as valid as the romantic relationship

You're welcome!
That is very true, I think it because there is potential for there to be more
that you can't help but wonder.
I agree about the somewhat skeletal outline of the Warden's potential origin
stories, it leaves room for ideas and possibilities. I've only played the City Elf
origin (as a mage) and as a Dalish. I ought to experiment with the others, but
I adore the Dalish origin.
But thank you for thinking so; although, I like the idea of the potential romance
between Tamlen and Mahariel too, it's nice that they leave it for you to decide.

That's true. The Dalish origin was the first I ever played so I have some kind of nostalgic connection to it
but the other origins are pretty amazing too. Though I haven't played much of the dwarven origin. Gotta change that soon.
The freedom in the origins is what I personally love most about the game and what allows having several characters with
the same origin that are not all the same. It is pretty much the best feature story-wise of the game.

Oh absolutely~! The Dalish origin will always have a special place
in my heart. I believe once I finish this play-through I may try
a different route. Truly I agree with the how wonderful the freedom
was in Origins. The dialogue, and the way your choices and
conversations can affect your companions and how the story proceeds
is amazing. Without a doubt this game is a divine treasure. It's
complexity is unlike almost many other games of its kind.

Yeah, I haven't finished my Dalish playthrough either I tend to do each and every quest I come across so it always takes a while. But I recently finished the Deep Roads so here's to hoping.

Oh my goodness I know the feeling. My first play-through in
Origins and Awakening I blitzed through and missed quite a lot.
I did not even realize that you had a camp to return to on your
own accord until after I finished it. >///>'
I've been taking it very slow now, and even then I'm still learning
new things!

Oh wow! You really did miss a bit then
Yeah, I too found some quests I never notice before.
Especially now that I found out that you can highlight items you can interact with? I didn't know about this until recently. Thought this was a thing unique for Inquisition. Felt a little embarassing to be honest ^^'

Late reply~! I apologize!
Oh yes, I just figured out the highlighting as well.
Not only that, but the allied supply crates at camp
are there to store items you don't want to carry.
At least, I think so.
I know the feeling, thought, I embarrass myself even when
I'm by myself. XD

No worries
I never noticed any allied crates? O_O I used a mod when I was sick of carrying all that unused armor but that I didn't want to get rid of either

thank you so much!! I usually really suck at poses like this. But I guess with enough references (like ten or so) it works out.
