It really is pretty, but it can cause a lot of damage too. We were lucky, we only lost a couple branches from our trees. There were so many branches down, that it took the city a couple months to get all of it picked up.
But you are right it is so beautiful that it almost seems magical.

I actually took the pictures two days after the storm. The day I took the pictures, it was finally warming up and just beginning to melt.

Wow, that's incredible. It's like someone cast a spell that turned all the branches to ice! Did the cars and all still work?

Cars worked, but only after you managed to get the doors pried open. We were one of the lucky ones, our street didn't loose electricity, except for a couple hours. Three fourths of the town was without electricity for a number of days.
