Description
Here is one of the Illustrations i made for a cover story about Tintin at a comic magazine in Iran.I had an idea of representing Tintin ( known as a classic character ) into a modern and more up-to-date style, and my brother came up with this Idea of Re-creating the MI2 Poster and replacing Tintin as Tom Cruise. I gave it a go and here is the result. Personally, I really like this illustration and having a good time working on it. Comments are welcome.

Very cool. The background and burning dust flakes add a certain dynamism that complements the two characters well. I like how you didn't go over-the-top with modernizing Tintin's wardrobe; the trench-and-sweater look is a classic and should not be messed with.

thank you so much!!! and i agree with you about tintin's wardrobe. actually modifying the wardrobe is like walking the razor's edge and it would be really dangerous. wardrobe for tintin is like face features for other characters. you change it, you change the character entirely, specially his golf pants. thanks again for paying attention to this piece!!!

This is AMAZING.
Herge would be proud. If he wasn't so possessive of his own characters, ha ha.
I love the atmospheric lighting, especially on Snowy. I like that you kept him in the original style but made it more realistic. I vote this the best fan art of Tintin on Deviantart (:

My hero!! *swooning sigh* You retained his innocence/almost irritatingly ultimate boy scout attitude with a perfect level of badassery. My 8 year old self fell in love all over again

Thank you very much. I always loved the badass aspect of his personality much more than other aspects. i am so pleased to know that i was able to express it through my illustration.

He looks SO badass and amazing, I simply can't believe how well you've done this! I applaud your drawing of Tintin and Snowy too as they look rather animesque too, which gives it a darker edge. The background is absolutely amazing as well: Epic fiery inferno!
Well done on this again!

This is without a doubt one of my favourite fan renditions of Tintin ever. Eveerrrr. You just made him look so badass. Those drug smugglers won't know what hit them.
In relation to the art itself, your interpretation of Herge's style is very unique, while the characters themselves are still very much recognisable. The shading and overall colouring is incredible and I am simply in awe of the lighting effects. A touch of highlighting on the eyes might have added more depth, though.
A very special and amazing piece! Nice touch with the pulling out of the concealed gun. I'm just so struck with this picture. Fantastic.

Just realised that this is your first deviation! I'm stunned! My first deviation wasn't HALF as good as this! O:
Keep up the art, especially the Tintin related pieces. We have so little Tintin fanart here. ):
