Well, although this may seem like just another cliched flower macro shot... it actually has meaning, at least to me.

No sappy, poorly composed poems for this shot, instead a written meaning. I'm taking the guess work out of this one.

This past week I had the immense pleasure of travelling to Toronto and meeting some amazing people. ^hesitation , +olya , ~superkev , ~xshock , and ~progneg .

Now people may ask how a macro flower shot ties into a vacation? Simple... both gave me a different point of view.

+olya was kind enough to lend me her Nikon Coolpix 995 for a few days, my first time shooting with what could be considered a 'real camera'. This macro shot is the result of a long walk, talk, and shooting session with +olya and ^hesitation .

The different point of view title comes partially from the fact that I finally got to see what it was like to shoot with a nice camera, and make my first real macro shot.

More importantly than a macro shot though, I met a person that instantly embedded themselves into my life, hopefully forever. Although things may not have turned out as planned, I am lead to believe that things turned out for the best. Anytime someone comes into your life, your point of view changes, you have a fresh perspective on life, a new vitality, a new reason.

Although I usually try to keep my descriptions and messages vague, I'll take a break from that this time and say bluntly:

Alina, Olya, Kevin, Michael; Thank-you for showing me an amazing time, you shared your personal views of life and of Toronto with me, and introduced me to your lives away from the internet, the real you. Had a great time, and I can't wait to do it all over again in the near future.

Andrew; You came into my life as a friend during some of my hardest times, and told me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear. Things are only going to be getting better from this point... hope you stick around to see where life takes me, and us as friends.

So with that, you see why this is more than just a macro shot, at least to me. It's a metaphorical tribute to the continuing changes of life, and the meeting of new friends, and as such, I dedicate this photograph to ^hesitation , +olya , ~superkev , ~xshock , and ~progneg .
