Not terribly exciting, but this is a studio landscape painting done in a plein air style. I've been slowly making my way through John F. Carlson's book on landscape painting and this was the result of what I've learned. I painted this a few weeks ago, but I liked how it turned out, so I wanted to share it.I forget to add leaves or even branches to those trees. Woops.

Oh, nice! I can see the similarity. Lovely painting; I agree that it can be very difficult to capture the beauty of a place in a painting, but I think you did a great job.
