A Candy Man's Ladder ~Pt 3 “Elymas!”
Candy Man tried his best to put on a mask of anger as he landed in the canyon once again. Fabian followed him but kept his distance, wary of what was to come. Candy didn’t blame him. The dark alpha looked up from the rock he was warming himself on and made a snort.
“So I take it she wasn’t impressed?”
Candy shook his head, eyes a little too artificially narrowed. “No. Not at all.”
Elymas let out a booming laugh and shifted, flicking the end of his tail to toss some dust Candy’s way. “Tough luck there, kid. She could’ve used some fun.”
Fabian chuckled. “I think she had plenty of fun chasing him around.”
Candy shuffled sheepishly but kept his eyes slitted. Taking in a deep breath, he growled, “I want a rematch.”
“Sorry.” Elymas flopped over to show his belly the sun. “I’m not in the mood.”

“Mmhmm!”
Candy flapped his wings again to rise over the forest canopy, Fabian following at his tail.
“You gotta be kidding me,” the malachite scoffed. “Iflar?! She’s not even a male! Fighting her won’t help anything!”
Candy dipped his head in a shrug, making sure he had a good hold on the cleaned deer skull in his claws. “Elymas told me it would be a good idea. I trust his judgement.”
Fabian snorted. “You puked in his face. Do you really think he said that in good will? You’re gonna die, bro.”
Candy laughed, trying to hide how worried that idea actually made him. But maybe a female would go easier on him, be more motherly-like? He tried to soothe himself with that idea.

A Candy Man's Ladder ~Pt 1 Candy Man swooped down upon the great mass of Kise with joy and anxiety battling in his chest. On one wing, he was so excited to be seeing so many new faces! On the other… he knew that if he wanted to follow his dreams and become an Alpha, he would need to fight.

The pearl Kise momentarily put aside his fears and dipped lower, unsurprised to be met with some snapping jaws from how close he was flying. They weren’t his problem, though. His problem was at the center of the mass.
