damn ive been working on this literally all last night and all today. it's been so long i actually put this much effort into completing art LOL oops

this is my very first time trying to emulate sugimori style so, sorry if it looks kinda rough, but i don't think i did too bad for my first time...except for shruberry's tail. i could not get it to look right for the life of me lmao

but god i am real excited to show these!! if youve been watching me since 2013 (or for some reason scoured my gallery at any point) you may remember these boys

these are the same boys... but obviously they got a huge makeover and have different names!!

the first of the line is Chipine, the Stashing Pokemon. Grass/Ground. Chipine are small, quick, and clever. They are known for thieving small items and berries when their not being supervised, and taking them to their underground burrow where they are stashed for the winter.
Their normal ability is Pickup, but some can have Run Away.
The name is made from Chipmunk + Pine (as they are usually seen in pine trees).

Chipine evolves into Shrubbery, the Berry Tail Pokemon. Grass/Ground. Shruberry can grow a berry on their tail that can be picked and eaten. The berry is one of a kind and and will not grow if you plant it. The berry will not grow ripe if the Pokemon is not healthy or happy.
Their only but exclusive ability is called Berry Picking, which allows the Shruberry to use it's own berry if not already holding an item. This does not consume the berry but can only happen once in a battle.
Shruberry's berry works like other berries for other Pokemon -- if held, it will consume it and recover from any status effect and recover 10HP once in battle. This WILL completely use up the berry, however. Once the berry is picked, Shruberry cannot use its Berry Picking ability again until 500 more steps and has regrown it.
The name is made from Shrub + Berry, but also sounds like the word "Shrubbery" when said aloud. (i keep accidentally typing the actual word gdjhgjfdgh)
