Some time had passed. Jason seemed to be hiding away in his room, sleeping or out at night. Sometimes he'd leave during late afternoon or evenings, dressed casually, which was odd. I rarely saw nor spoke to him these past few weeks. I was starting to miss Β the occasional company. Sometimes I wished he'd come out even if it was to be his annoying, flirty, asshole self.
I spent the day watching TV, straightening up the apartment, and looking through Jason's small bookcase. I now sat in the kitchen fixing up a lil meal for myself, content with the silence of the early evening atmosphere. I was putting my food onto my plate when I heard the bedroom door open, and light footsteps walking towards the kitchen.
Without looking his way I spoke "Would you like a sandwich?"
I heard groans coming from the doorway, like he was stretching, "I wouldn't say no to that."
I nodded pulling out more bread and meat slices throwing them and a few other things together onto a plate. I then picked up the plates and walked em out to the recroom where Jason sat on the couch. I handed him his plate he thanked me, scooting over to make room for me on the couch. I sat and noticed Jason had the TV set on the news where the weather was currently showing. We sat in mutual silence as we listened to the news reporters talk.
"Good sandwich," Jason said through a mouth full. I hummed in agreement, popping a chip in my mouth from the bag that sat on the coffee table in front of the couch.
The silence started up again, that is until the news advertised for a fair that was just outside Gotham city this week. I watched as I saw the video of the beautiful night lights of the fair. I longed to be able to just get out of this damn apartment. Though I doubted that Jason would let me le-
"BRUUEEEEP" Jason let out the loudest belch I had ever heard, "Finish up and get dressed." With that he stood up throwing away the paper plate and cleaning up the kitchen. I sat staring at him in awe. 'What the hell just happened?' I thought to myself.
Jason glanced back at me and cleared his throat, "Did you hear me? Get dressed, unless you wanna stay in here all day."
My eyes widened in excitement, I snapped out of my thoughts and jumped up dropping my plate on the coffee table. Jason chuckled as I rushed to the bedroom to change out of my sleep shorts and t-shirt. I couldn't hold back the squeal that bubbled up my throat as I dug through the dresser for clean clothes. Remembering the weather report earlier, I ended up settling for a (f/c) sundress and white sneakers. It was summertime, evening to night was pretty warm this time of year. I kept my hair down, just running a brush through it.
I exited the bedroom to find Jason waiting by the door wearing a pair of worn jeans, black T-shirt that hugged his torso slightly (no too much just enough to know he's got something) and some black combat boots. I admit he looked pretty attractive, with his arms partially on display and his hair nicely tousled. I was too busy looking, NOT checking him out, to notice he too was looking at me and my choice of an outfit. I probably looked ridiculous...
Jason let out a low whistle, "I like it" he grinned wolfishly. I rolled my eyes at his comment and walk towards the door. Before I could grab the doorknob Jason's hand was on mine. "Stay near me, don't go running off. Got it?"
I nodded then shook his hand off and opened the door to leave the apartment.
*************************
Jason ended up taking me to the fair I was admiring on the news. I freaked out because he drove his motorcycle, I was terrified and ended up burying my face into his back while clutching his t-shirt almost tearing it. It was mid evening when we arrived at the fair grounds. I stood there in awe as I saw the beautiful view of the many tents, booths, and rides. Not to mention the huge ferris wheel being the centerpiece of the fair, it was quite the sight! Jason finished parking his bike and then came up next to me, placing a hand on my lower back to guide me along. Β
Jason walked with me around the grounds, occasionally riding one of the handfull of rides. Jason found my reactions to the rides really funny. He was also amused to see me looking longingly at all the tasty foods. He finally ended up treating me to some of the mouth watering treats; like a funnel cake and cotton candy. We shared all the treats, Jason was amused by how much I ate.
There we sat on a bench by the water watching the people in paddle boats, while eating a bag of popcorn. The sun was starting to set over the water casting a orangey pink sky with brushes of various other colora, creating a gorgeous picture before us. I felt at such ease in the moment.
"Is that (Y/n)? Hey (y/n)!" A feminine voice broke throughy my peaceful moment.
I turned around to see Laura, a girl I went to Gotham High school with. I had a few friends but choose not to get too attached to anyone. We were in a few classes together. But after graduation I never spoke to or kept in contact with anyone.
I stood as I saw the curvy, dark haired beauty walk over to me with a small group of other teenagers, who I was hardly able to recognize the others.
"It's been so long! How' ve you been!?" She hugged me, throwing me off, while wearing her well known charming smile.
"Uh good," I said awkwardly.
"You look amazing! I love this dress'" she said stepping back and admiring my sundress. "You remember," she went off naming the others she was with. All the names just went over my head, but one boy caught my eye "do you remember, Tim?"
I stared at the tall, raven haired boy with bright blue eyes, who at first I thought was staring back at me. However, I realized he wasn't staring but glaring at not me but someone behind me. In that moment I felt a pair of strong arms snake around my waist from behind. I glanced back to see Jason right behind me glaring back at Tim.

I grinned when Tim showed up.
I sense tension between the middle children.
