a couple minutes after this shot, we got kicked out.we were planning on building a castle of books to get an interesting picture, but the creepy library employee came over and said "Hi guys, what are you up to, do you need help with anything?" and after being super nice, she started to be evil and mean and snooty. Then she asked us to leave because she has issues and has nothing better to do. No one goes to our library anyways. we had 3 or 4 books on the floor, and she picks them up and says to us "THIS IS WHY WE DON'T PUT BOOKS ON THE FLOOR, THEY GET WRECKED" and she proceeds to point out a tiny little bent on the corner of one of the books.
Just ranting.

I can see why this is your most favourite picture. It's super adorable and this is probably the first picture I've seen of someone balanced between bookshelves in a library. I personally havent seen it done in my own adventures.
It's a cute picture, and it's a bit quirky. And yeah, I totally favourited it myself.

i've had VERY similar, and WORSE situations at libraries. i think they are trained while in evil-librarian-bitch school to be total ass holes to people they've pre-judged...

librarians scare the HELL outa me.
shame a castle of books sounded wicked. Perhaps if you took your own books & made a castle? suppose it wouldn't be the same though

oh I know! I don't know if it's just their personalities, or if it's their job that turns them that way.
and we were thinking a BIG castle, ! lol. carrying 392832 pounds of books across town would never be worth it

You probably could have gotten more shots if you had asked permission beforehand. I work at a library, and as long as people tell us what's up beforehand, we're pretty open about people doing photography/"artist stuff" in there. Anyway, awesome shot, love the combination of weird colors and juxtaposed angles.

haha, I guess I should have. I just didn't want employees hovering over us the whole time, because they obviously wouldn't trust us because of the "hooligan teenager" appearance we portray.
