Description
It was a cold night as a black hedgehog sat on a hill. He stared at the stars trying to clear his head. His red sweat shirt was stretched over his black pants to keep him warm. He sighed as he remembered seeing a certain demon once again. He thought he was gone for good, but yet he came waltzing into his life again with a punch. Literally.
The ebony hedgehog was just walking in the forest when the demon came out and punched him in the face. He came at the demon with anger and kicked him in the chest. The weirdest thing was, after thirty minutes of fighting, the demon retreated.
He sat there in thought until foot steps caught his attention. He looked seeing a blue hedgehog wearing a dark blue tank-top and brownish shorts. He smiled with a wave.
"How ya doing, Buddy?" He said as he sat next to him.
The black hedgehog shook his head. "Thinking."
"About what?"
The ebony hedgehog looked at the blue one blankly. "None of your business, Sonic."
The blue hero grinned. "Whatever you say. So," he put an arm around his friend, "what's on your mind, Shad?"
The blue blur-scratch that- No one knew about the crystal demon's appearance and the black hedgehog wanted to keep it that way. "Stuff."
"What kind of stuff?"
Shadow rolled his eyes. "You're too nosy."
Sonic smiled. "That's what's cool about me."
"That you don't listen to people when they say to drop it."
Sonic punched Shadow's arm playfully. "Shut up, Shad. But seriously, what's up with ya?"
Shadow looked down at his feet. "Nothing... I'm just thinking."
"And I want to know what you're thinking about."
Sonic looked into the black hedgehog's eyes hoping to get an answer. Shadow sighed. "You wouldn't believe me."
"Try me."
Shadow shook his head. "What happens if I tell you one of our enemies had returned."
"Eggman!" The blue hedgehog growled.
"No..."
Sonic tilted his head. "Who?"
"... A demon..."
Sonic had a questionable face. "What?"
"Nevermind." Shadow got up and started heading down the road to his house.
"Wait!" The black hedgehog felt his wrist grabbed by the blue blur. "Shadow...Tell me. I'm your friend."
Shadow looked into those emerald eyes. "Sonic."
"What?"
"Don't move when I do this."
Sonic raised an eyebrow. "What do you-" Shadow interrupted Sonic with a kiss. The blue hedgehog's eyes widened as he pulled away from Shadow. "Wh-What was that!?"
Shadow held onto Sonic. "I've been attracted to you, Sonic the Hedgehog..." Sonic's jaw dropped as his cheeks turned a scarlet.
"Shadow..." Sonic wrapped his arms around Shadow's neck shyly and kissed him softly. "I thought you hated me."
"Me too." With that they kissed once more.
As they kissed, two serpent-like eyes watched from a distance. They narrowed as they watched the two hedgehog's make out.
The owner of those eyes punched at a tree. Bark flew from it as the dark being hit it hard with each punch.
It's hands suddenly stopped and dropped to its side. It fell to its knees with a hand to the disfigured tree, slowly running its fingers down to the ground.
"I will get him. No matter what!" The being looked back at the two with a smirk. "Even if I have to kill to get him." The dark being evilly laughed as it disappeared.
