Description
Hi, Hello, GreetingsI'm sure that you have experienced times when you thought you are not good enough or that other people are better than you. It's important that you understand that comparing yourself with other people won't do you any good. I often look at other people's art and compare my skill level to theirs, especially if they are better at a younger age than me. (Bad habits really go brrr)
But that doesn't make you a bad artist. Art is not about the skills you possess, but about doing something you enjoy, and depicting or creating something you enjoy. Surely it's nice to get inspired and sometimes even take a few elements from your favourite artists. You know how the saying goes "Good artists copy, great artists steal." and by that we mean, that even though you have not started off with a "unique" artstyle, because you copy elements from artists, once you will get to a level that those combination of those elements will be recognised as yours. At least that's how I interpret it. Don't feel bad about taking certain elements from other people (don't copy, trace and steal an ENTIRE PIECE OF ART, only small details like maybe the shape of eyes, the way they draw eyelashes or eyebrows.) You don't have to fiqure out everything on your own, artists help artists. Don't be afraid to ask and critisize. It helps you grow and that is what's truly important.
There's no shame in starting off with art, nor is there any shame in making mistakes. You see, mistakes are human and a part of life; you can't avoid them completely. So what you have to do is recognise your mistakes and better yourself even if it's hard sometimes.
Think of it like a reset if you were actually in the Frisk's shoes. You go genocide and realise you made a mistake, but you have the power to reset and correct your mistake. When you reset the mistake hasn't been erased, simply a new time(line) started, where you can do the right thing.
Do me a favor and give yourself a pat on the back, because you truly are special and talented. I'm sure of it.
Peace out, have a great day and stay safe!
