I Support SA2 Shadow Stamp:-David Humphrey is Shadow the Hedgehog
-Shadow is the ultimate life form with ultimate ego no emo
-Shadow loved Maria and would have done anything for her
-Smart and cunning, deceiving and emotional
-Rouge or Amy (or figgin Sonic) he had no emphasis in
-He "died" with honor and respect
-He made us cry
-He had a great story and character (no aliens, no emo, no amnesia, no GUN)

It is all the quotes from Shadow in SA2, even the unused dialog. Alot surprised me with with how much emotion his character had then, his "power"/determination.
Some even sounded similar to what he has said in most recent games.
SA2/SAB2 was the best Sonic game of the "golden age"

Ill always love shadow back in SA2 because I hate how hes just there for fanservice. But Ill always have a special place in my heart for old shadow

Can't believe Shadow nowadays is nothing more than a fanservice character. He was cool back in SA2 until the fans whined to bring Shadow back so SEGA decided that his coolness in SA2 wasn't enough so they added more details such as guns, motorcycles, emo, aliens and android stuff which obviously never made him more cooler. Instead they ruined him. Now starting from Sonic Free Riders, they pretty much ruined Shadow so much (especially rise of lyric) by turning him into a douchebag who picks fights for no reason other than just challenge. I never liked Shadow since Free Riders where Shadow is either a douchebag or a background character. He's turned into absolute shit ever since Free Riders. I really liked this stamp. I really missed the SA2 Shadow.

Shadow is my favourite character in Sonic universe and feel he had best characterization in SA2. He wasn't grumpy, he wasn't brooding all the time. HeΒ was very cool, dark and mysterious who was sad but had great determination and confidence. When Shadow remembered Maria's last wish, he was no longer cold and brooding, he was confident and never he acted like ass to others during that time and died with honor and respect, sacrificing himself to save planet. Nowadays, while i don't have much problem with his character, i still feel they ruined perfectly amazing character By giving him "Amnesia", constantly brooding and brushes off anyone who tries to help him. Also, if Shadow doesn't remember anything about Maria or GUN raiding the Ark in his game, why he is still acting like a dick and goes like "I don't have time for these humans"? (Also they completely butchered Shadow in Sonic Boom)

Not sure why the ()'s exactly, but thats ok if you don't like him. Sure his voice acting may be cheesy but remember SA2 was 2001/2000, the audio wasn't well layered (heck the music towered over the voices sometimes)! I think the director didn't help either, that why it may sound fake to you (plus the animation didn't help much either lol).
But I just like how David gave more- at least- emotion to his character. More levels than just dark and moody like anyone else did.
Kirk is a bit better imo but he sounds too.... too much like a snake/devious for Shadow.
But to each their own.

If I was a writer I wouldn't give vehicles and have RougeΒ and his friends told everything, except for the end of Team Dark's ending, he never follows Black Doom and openly mocks him and only joins GUN when the GUN Commander gets fried and his new friend takes over.
Is it okay for me to think of GUN as a villainous group.

The thing I loved most about Shadow in SA2 is that he wasn't an 'edgy loner' stereotype all the goddamn time. He was willing to co-operate both when it came to destroying the world and then eventually saving it. It was clear how much he respected Sonic, even to the point of calling him the Ultimate Lifeform, a title Shadow has always prided himself on.

Well SA2 was before they choose Jason Griffith for Shadow's voice as well. Shadow went "Emo" when Sonic X came out IMO.

I agree with you. I wish he'd stayed this way. Not that I would've liked it if he stayed dead...I mean, I'd rather he'd have come back to life in a better, more thoroughly explained, more convincing way minus the amnesia...
He's my favorite character (RESPECTFULLY) and I wish he hadn't gone so far downhill with the other games.

I could not agree more with the description. Shadow was best in SA2. Now he's just an emo, swearing, gun-slinging nobody. And he actually JOINED GUN?! Seriously,Sega? Can you get any worse?

This Shadow > Post SA2 Battle Shadow. He was too proud of his own power to ever consider a gun and capable of moving faster than a motorcycle. Sega's attempts to make him look cool backfired and unfortunately he's hated by a lot of people for it now.

He did have amnesia... He couldn't remember what Maria wished for , untill Amy reminded him in the flashback...

Ok well wrong interpretation.
Shadow didn't have amnesia, he was blinded by hate/revenge and forgot (imagine if you didn't know what was going on and all of a sudden people came in with guns and killed your family, and that was the last thing you saw. You would forget some things and only focus on that dramatic event)
Shadow remembered Maria and some parts of her wish that were re-introduced to him by both Rouge and Amy. At different points in the story that is.
Secondly I mean the irony of joining GUN. Shadow in the most recent games actually joined GUN and was an agent. He was now working for the people who killed his family.....
I wouldn't as easily forgive them.
But that is what I was stating
