A dark Hedgehog stood on a hill, the sharp wind blowing through his quills. "Something's going on out there... Could it really be Mephiles...?" he mused within his thoughts. He dashed off into Westopolis, the place where the Black Arm Invasion started, when he sensed a powerful energy coming from there. Shortly, he looked around. The reconstruction of the town was still going on, but most of the citizens got back into their daily life. As good as they were able to at least.

Shadow didn't really care about the humans, who looked at him in awe, fear and respect, as he passed by them. He only cared about this strange power and it's source. Suddenly, panicked citizen ran past the black-red Hedgehog as many shoots were heard. A gun battle. Shadow got ready and charged his body with Chaos Energy, dashing off into the direction the shoots were coming from.

He hid behind a corner and couldn't believe his eyes! There was a Hedgehog shooting G.U.N.-Soldiers and Shadow Androids... but what was shocking Shadow more than just that, was the fact that he looked exactly like Shadow himself! "Another Copy? It can't get any worse..." he whispered more to himself. Suddenly, a very well known "Hey, Shadow!" pulled him out of his thoughts. "What do you want, Faker? I don't have any time!" he fumed, glaring darkly at the smiling blue Hedgehog next to him.

Sonic snickered slightly, but then suddenly broke off. "That Guy over there... He had been here before." he said, while looking at the strange Hedgehog who was still fighting off the Androids and the Soldiers. "So? What do you know about him?" Shadow demanded answers from his blue furred rival. "Well..." he began, while looking up into the sky, trying to find his answers in the cotton candy like clouds above them, "I just know, that he shows up here at the same time every day. As if... he's waiting here for something special to happen. We should check that out!" Sonic cheered and dashed off. "Get back here!" Shadow growled and followed him.

Both Hedgehogs hid slightly behind a larger piece of rubble so they could take a better look at the stranger. "He looks much like you, Shads." Sonic concluded. Shadow rolled his eyes, not only at Sonic's late conclusion, but also at his nickname. "Anyway... I'll confront him. NOW!" Shadow called and jumped out of his hideout. "Shadow! Wait up!" Sonic followed his rival, having a hard time to catch up with him.

After finishing the last Android off, the strange Hedgehog dusted himself off. The wind that was blowing through the now silent and empty street howled. The hedgehog's scarf was fluttering in the wind. "They can surely mean trouble..." he muttered under his breathe, as if he was concerned about something. "HEY!" Shadow called out. The Hedgehog turned around to look at him. Sonic stopped in shock.

This Hedgehog was indeed Shadow! But... he was good one head larger than the Shadow Sonic got to know. "Who are you?!" Shadow asked, his voice slightly shook in surprise. The "older" Shadow, as Sonic suspected, hid a glance and said cooly: "I am you." "Wha--?!" Shadow stepped back. The older Shadow kept that cool look of his as the present Shadow charged at him...
