Description
Imperial German Navy Unterseeboot U-14.This is an illustration of an early model of German submarine.
Aside from a few skirmish's and the inconclusive Battle of Jutland, the German High Seas fleet was unable to come to grips with the larger Royal Navy, and It fell to the U-Boats to continue offensive operations for the duration of the war.
This is an example of one of the boats used during the beginning of The Great War.
In the background if the battleship Kaiser Fredrich III.
Launched 11 Jul 1911 at the Kaiserliche Werft Shipyard, Danzig, later sunk off Peterhead, 5 Jun 1915.
