I love "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog". I've loved it.... for the 8 months that my sorry-self was aware that it existed. Then again, I converted into a Joss Whedon fan last year, due to seeing Cabin In the Woods, The Avengers, and finding out he wrote Toy Story. And the combination of Joss Whedon & Neil Patrick Harris was a recipe for gold, so yes, no shock, I love "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog".

And admittingly, the whole scene here is based on a painfully obvious pun. Mortimer Mouse as Dr. Horrible. Yes, say it with me: Dr. Morrible. And trust me, when this is finished, you will see the pun again in all of its lameness.

I love the very end of Dr. Horrible most of all. That very last shot of NPH where he looks like he'd been crying for 5 hours straight and giving that cold stare was such a striking image. And while Mortimer isn't giving quite the same look, I still had some fun with this. This is yet another piece that I started it at one point, let it sit around for a bit, and found the motivation to finish it. And while I'm not too proud of this "stop-and-start" thing I've been doing, I'm just glad the final product came out better than I expected.

One last, important detail. I have to give credit for the design of Mortimer. Her work is my favorite interpretation of Mortimer and for this crossover, I wanted to replicate it. I used numerous references for the design, just to get it right.
