Okay so Hax was mean and put the image of this one in my head but I had to see if I could challenge myself with the concept. So what you are seeing is my attempt at doing an actual layer by later "digital painting" where I used layering and blending the way one might with actual oil paint and struggled for ages to see if it would somehow lend itself to my style and work kinda like sculpting and in some ways it -did- work but ultimately I am not entirely happy with the piece. I LOVE the imagery and I just wish my idea of what it SHOULD look like could translate, I loved working on both pairs of wings because they are a huge inspiration and I love the idea of these two being such a unique dynamic. The concept of the paladin who found the light in himself with the help of a Demonhunter and ultimately the Demonhunter finding her courage to reach her full potential by becoming a dark being for those who couldn't and dirty her hands with the work so others don't have to, through he man she saw as the light.

Holy crap the role reversal bat man. Just because I know there's gonna be a hell of a fight when Hax realizes Shoke drank the Demon-coolaid with perfectly legitimate reasons and she'll be hurt because her reasons for doing so would ultimately have been the ones he had for joining SI:7 before he was a Paladin and met her. =3 YAY STORIES!
