this is pretty old but I'm still proud of it so I'm submitting it to groups now~ I'm leaving my original embarrassing attention-grabbing comments below lol...comments are love because this is certainly the best piece in my gallery right now and I've put a shiatload of effort into it.
t'is just what I see when I listen to Bliss by Muse. Obviously inspired by the music video. A Mazing song. I listened to a lot of Muse while drawing this.

yeah I don't like to do that XD I'd need a better version of oc to save files as photoshop filetypes. using all photoshop or all oc works better for me than trying to combine the two. I love photoshop for how easy it is to use :] not to mention all them effects and shit. awwwwwh yeaaaaah sonnnn

God Kenzi, I absoluetly adore this! You should be so damn proud of it. I've always loved the way you've drawn dragony doods, but I especially love this guy <333 It's just way too amazing... the way your draw wings and claws, gosh, your art is so mind blowing @w@ Ahh! I just used photoshop :] I don't tell people how I make my art 'cause I like having an individual style but there are tons and tons of artists who have made tutorials on deviantart that you can read. check 'em out, they'll help. ^^

DANG....you should be really proud of this...it's AMAZING!
The pose and lineart by itself looks really nice, (I like how you kept like...the pencil sketch it looks like. Instead of solid black computer lines. It works well with the picture and the transparency) and the coloring adds so much detail and depth to the picture. The highlights...well "highlight" the edges of the body and add muscle tone to a lot of places, making it look realistic, which is amazing. I really like the highlighting on the feet, arms, head, and wings, it really looks nice.
The dark coloring and shading adds a lot of feeling to this picture, and the fire glowing and bright highlights make the dragon figure stand out nicely from the background. (Since the dragon is transparent and the background is similar colors. You pulled that off really nicely.)
I like the simplitic-ness of the background, I can tell you put effort into it because it looks just awesome and it blends well with everything else. I love how it gradient shades with the stars into the solid colored city skyline and the goes back to the darker sky with stars. That...just looks so cool!
Also just little details that stand out to me...something about the face, ears, and hair just looks really cool to me. I just really like how you draw dragons XD And just small details like the claws and the eyes and highlights on the hair stand out to me and give the picture once again a more realistic look X3
(You can call me crazy or weird I don't care XD I know I focus on strange "vague" things in a picture...I don't know why...I just...do.)
And the moooon....it be so pretty D: -clings to it's shiny-ness-

I originally wanted to color this with colored pencils but decided to scan it and make a digital version anyways... which I totally don't regret, it let me experiment with what I wanted for the colors and background, and a traditional version would never have come out as good.

I always like the express exactly how the pictures stand out from others to me. I also know that the artist probably appreciates more in-depth comments rather than just short 4-5 word comments that don't really give full justice to the picture XD
Long comments....it's a habit with me 8D Good or bad, that's up to the artist to choose haha

I seriously just make shit up as I go XD I don't normally make pictures like this. I could make a tutorial but it wouldn't teach anybody anything except how to replicate the way this picture looks.. lesson is... just experiment ^^ I love experimenting, I have learned so many things so that my style is never the same, but I remember individual techniques that I can use later on in different combinations.
