title refers both to Salem's attitude towards Denver's antics and my own attitude towards this bitch of a painting
things I like: concept; the background characters
things I dislike: literally everything else
things to improve upon: perspective. dynamic poses. the level of detail and planning I put into the underpainting(this underpainting was a confusing mess and I think that hurt the final product). urban scenes. clouds. making characters stand out from their backgrounds.
been working on this for weeks, I guess it's time to just stop and try to do better next time. I think I'm going to have to severely overhaul the way I do underpaintings. I've gotten complacent and my laziness in underpainting just causes more trouble down the line.

I absolutely love the teleport effect! Most people pretty much have a "poof" or lines or a fadeout star trek style, but you just went all epic all over it.

omg but what if Salem can just hold theirself mid-teleport, and like their legs go walking down the street and their torso is kinda dragged along like 20 feet behind floating in mid-air.....

Teleportation is a scary subject, you should hear some of the theories on how it actually works. (I'm a Star Trek fan so I'm one of those strange people that likes to read articles on crazy stuff like that. Also, the base technology for replicators pretty much exists: 3D printers.)

I absolutely adore the mid-teleport effect and poses. So fascinating especially with the perspective and gosh that sky is so darn pretty :'T I think you did a pretty awesome job here honestly

I am so so glad people can recognize that salem is teleporting. when I was sketching it out it looked like he was being ripped in half and guts were flying everywhere omfg I was afraid how it would turn out haha thank you

I really like the perspective of this shot. And I like the action in this scene, too. Very dynamic, and I can tell what it going on pretty well. Can't wait to see what you do next! ^^

man I just used a rough sketch in the underpainting and the facial expressions were pretty silly and exaggerated hence grumpiness in the final product. xD thanks bro

As for the grumpy cat thing. I think it is pretty much all in the frown that reminds me of it.

I really like this action piece! And that teleport is awesome!
The only downside I can spot on this is that the sun is maybe too bright, it makes my eye go to that direction, when it's obviously not the centre of attention. The main characters have a good contrast of light and shadow, so its only the sun that is interfering with their "popping out".
