fuckI'm done
20hrs or more. not sure. 168 layers total... changed the bg after I'd had the first one nearly done. that fucking fence took forever.. so did the steel durbar pattern on the platform.. I gave up on drawing that in perspective too. used a brush for the city skyline xD; had to make some edits to it tho.
comments on this are extremely appreciated... tons and tons of time and effort...
char has no name as of yet. designed him recently and pretty quickly

well, in the story where he lives(he's really a human I guess).. he's the god of life for the city. he can't actually do much tho. fly, disappear and reappear elsewhere... sit around brooding about how he can't do anything! that's about it. ;D

This is truly amazing! The colors are so smooth, and, well, everything about this is just great! The background...you didn't neglect any background detail, which must've taken a lot of patience! Especially with the texture in the metal, and the pipes...

I know this is 'lol late' but... I really wanted to comment on this. You know why? Because I basically adore every fucking aspect of this picture. Your eye for detail is obvious. Umm chain link fence?! Are you crazy?! xD I don't have the patience for details like that... and you pulled it off so well. The character is fantastic. I love those almost inky blues and the green that fades in hjs I'm gonna love drawing this character. srsly. Don't get me started on the yellowish orange streaks, cause I'll never shut up about them. They look wonderful, simply wonderful c:

urban settings are a good place to start BD if you can find a detailed photo you could try to draw/paint it as practice~

My dear sweet Jesus Kenzi this is fucking BEAUTIFUL!
Wow...where to even start..this just...wow...blows my mind right now XD;
The pose of the character is really neat, and the anatomy. You really hit the pose on the spot, it actually truly looks like he's* sitting down with his legs hanging and stuff. I really envy your anatomy, the chest looks like...perfect, and the legs, arms, and face. The feet and hands are beautifully done as well, waaay better than I could ever dream of doing XD
I absolutely love the colors you chose for the character as well, the design is just beautiful, the blues, greens, yellows, and blacks/grays go well together. I love the way you blend the chest and nose greens into the blue of the main body as well. And the hair and fur on the tail, back, and head looks beautiful with the alternating colors. And those ears...friggin awesome...love the metal parts, and the eye...-drool-
That brings me to the shading and highlights, it's so smooth on the body, and you really do well to add detail highlight and shine to places that really need it. And the dark shadows and shading on the body really brings out the whole feel to the picture, and also brings out the fact that it's nighttime too. I really love the detail shading and highlights on the legs, and pretty much everywhere else too, it shows the muscle tone really well and accents the anatomy nicely.
The detail on the fur is amazing as well, the dark shadows and bright highlights really show you that it's fur...I've always loved how you do that, it's awesome c':
And the background...daaamn...it's AMAZING. The whole background concept in itself is amazing, with the barrels and the industrial outlook...
I really love how you put the black outlines of the cityscape behind the main picture instead of just the sky alone, it really stand out nicely and adds to the whole picture's effectiveness to blow everyone away XD [even though it was a brush...it still looks amazing]
I LOVE the detail you put into those barrels, every one of them looks like...perfect...and the fact that you shaded and highlighted each one separately is awesome. The highlighting detail on this is really nice as well, it gives them shape and depth. The durbar pattern on the floor looks amazing as well, evenly spaced and realistic too. I don't see how anyone could have the patience for that, kudos to you <3 And the detail alone with highlights and everything in just that part is amazing in itself!
The wall too, the wall looks real....the detail in the ladder, the step he has his foot on, and the industrial metal plating is amazing! The highlights on everything, even the bolts and screws, and the rust detail adds so much as well.
And god...that fence is amazing...your work really payed off on that I think...the crosswork looks amazing and even...the perspective is like...perfect too. The highlighting on every link is amazing, and the mottled highlights and shading on the metal bar makes it really look realistic!
God...this is an amazing picture...it hard to find words even to express how much I love this picture right now, and the character too. Keep up the kick-ass work...I can't wait to see what you're planning to do with this character and everything

The detail, for one, is astonishing and frigging blows my mind. I can't even like.. think of a word that even articulates in the slightest how magnificent I think your attention to detail is.
I mean seriously..

The character is beautiful, and would make a great design for a krawk, though I know you tend to like less expensive pets. The way the blue kind of blends in with the night colors, but then has the yellow to bring it all out and kinda hit you in the face just makes you .. blown away in a sense.
