hey, i am glad i can add you name to the project and give it some more credibility. i'll try to upload it soon. it's basically the background for one of my comic book covers. do you like/ read comics/graphic novels? i often joked with my buddy that the reason the term 'graphic novel' exists is to give some more credibility to the nerds who read comic books. "now, you see here, this ain't a comic book! it's a graphic novel!"

Yeah, I also think that's funny. Some people still seem to think comic books are for children only, so that's probably why the term graphic novel was applied. It has a more sophisticated, adult feel to it. I think it works pretty well actually. Languages change and the meaning of words changes with them.
I'm not so much the type for it, though. Tried reading the The Walking Dead comic books, because everyone says they're much better than the TV series, but I have a hard time getting into them to be honest. When I was younger, there was a time when I read a lot of mangas.

The Walking Dead comic is much better than the TV series but that's still about Zombies! My wife watches the show with me but has never read an issue.

This is what a true graphic novel is in my mind. A great novel told in beautiful pictures with fantastic character development.
Easily one of my fav stories. And what's even better is only $10 bucks! I have the Hardback back in Canada and I payed some good $35 for that one.
If you give this one a try and you like it, I can suggest to you a few other great stories. (Some I have and i can pass via dropbox or whatever) Let me know if you like the cover. Soon as I get the comic done I'll send it your way. It's quite bloody, but also filled with humor.

About the graphic novel - I do very much believe you that there are amazing graphic novels out there but I am guessing it's just not my cup of tea. Like celery. I understand why a lot of people love it, I see where it comes from, but it's not for me.
Can't really explain why, maybe in 5 years it'll hit me and I'll start reading all the great graphic novels there are, but at the moment I don't have the mind for it I think.
