Description
HIGH RESOLUTION TEXTUREΒ
So today I'll share something different with you. What may look like an anatomy heart is actually just the negative of a piece of paper with dirt on it. Yes, dirt! A few months back there was this drying up puddle in my backyard and it had interesting textures in it. So I actually went to get a piece of paper pulled that "print" of dirt off the ground, to let it dry. Today I decided it was time to finally scan it and see what I can make of it. That's the result Hope you enjoy!
TWO SIMPLE RULES:
1. NO REDISTRIBUTION: don't display it as your own with none or minor alterations.
2. GIVE CREDIT, so others are able to find the source!
OTHER THAN THAT:
Feel free to use it for whatever you want, wherever you want.
I'd love to see how you use the resources, so feel free to send me a link to your work.
I'm always happy to give a fav! mercurycode

Cool - love it.Β I picked up last season's dried and yellowed out tomato skins and took a pic of them.Β Funny how you get these interesting ideas for textures - but quite exciting.Β

Yes, just saw the texture and I love it. It's almost like an unconventional materials challenge. It kind of shows me that the world offers an endless supply of resources - you just have to be open minded about it

Exactly - 'unconventional materials challenge' <-- that's how I felt about my blimmin' tomato skin.Β Oh no, what beasts have been unleashed?

Wonderful stuff..Β In fact I used to do similar stuff when i was a lot younger(living in the wet English countryside)but in those days there were no scanners etc.etc..so I'd just keep the paper or cardboard and try and "better" it with other "things"+paints of all kinds...Thanks for the memories!!Β

Oh, that sounds lovely! To be honest, the thought of working paint through it has already crossed my mind, maybe I'm gonna make it a project one day. Also, it's good to hear that I'm not the only person on the planet that finds a certain kind of fascination in dirt
