Hi love so glad that you like the daffodil here ... it is same one reversed for the picture my favorite flowers of spring like trumpets announcing the sun except sometimes the is behind clouds like today they are really nice to draw as well with such a definite shape to them it is a pleasure drawing daffodils

I like the colors a lot, though the flowers seem....sophisticated a bit....?

thanks Michelle so glad that you like the colors as for the flower ... it is only the same reversed and a daffodil is what it is ... a daffodil I have some photographs of a wooden shipwreck that were taken last week along the north coast here ... I think you will like it was a good day for outdoor photography

thanks very much I am glad that you like this very simple picture with same daffodil reversed ... very easy to do but the secret was in setting each layers light levels before completing the image

aww thanks so much Mayumi I really appreciate this comment also wanted to ask you what is 'sophisticated' I had a comment this is sophisticated but to me it is a daffodil on the windowsill then I remember  that you told me once that your daughters were sophisticated and so wondered if you would know what it means?

In fact, I don't remember the situation in which I used the word. But in Portuguese, "sofisticado" is the opposite of simple, maybe artificial, beyond the simplicities of naturalness of certain things. In another way may be as a kind of tampering.

In fact it was nothing only a mention for a picture hardy anything Mayumi dear ... but that explains very well for me as 'artificial' as the same person also told me I would die as idiot if I had not visited the Louvre art Gallery in Paris! my father laughed when I told him this and he said it would take an idiot to go there twice! I,m sure your daughter's are very lovely dear Mayumi

In a way your father was right, no one needs to have the same ways from others just to be himself.

yes Mayumi dear  I think he was speaking from experience having been to visit the Louvre in the past but really I still find the word sophisticated difficult to understand ... my dictionary says Sophistry = fallacious reasoning Sophistication = adulteration ... act or art of quibbling ... so that means sophisticated people are argumentative for no good reason maybe but a Daffodil? beats me, your explanation is better!

aha Mayumi dear  from your explanation for sophisticated then I imagine that genuine  plastic Daffodils are the height of sophistication
