[11x14 watercolor] This has been sitting around finished for a week
I have no idea how long this actually took so don't ask, but I did the first sketch 6 months ago. I went through several re-drawings to get to the final drawing and didn't finish it until now.oh yeah, FULL VIEW is worth it!

Adding the details on the inside of the dress, must have taken time that... but the result is gorgeous, lightens the dress up a lot.
A very strong background here too, you draw trees well, how about a tree nymf next? Only things I could remark upon, is the folds of the dress.. looks a bit too symmetrical if one foot is in front of the other

Thanks! There's a sort of tiny tree nymph painting in my gallery. I should probably do a large one sometime.
I see what you mean about the dress. I had a reference photo of myself but not with a dress on. I think my original idea in the sketch was to have more of the legs showing.

Here'sd 3 stages it went though. I just knew I wanted a wall of gateway but didn't know the shape. It was going to be open at the top. A friend helped me over AIM and came up with the closed archway over the top.

I usually do too. Most of my paintings do not take anywhere near as long as this. I only do the icredibly detailed ones a few times a year because I'm impatient.

What? No one did. I just spent so long on this that I don't want to hear any crits. Usually with watercolor there's not much I can change anyway.
