This painting was accepted to the Minneapolis Institute of Art's Foot in the Door 4 exhibit and was on display from Feb to June 2010. It's was a great opportunity for art style that might never be considered for a museum show.

I think it's not obvious to a lot of people, plus it's tiny. Maybe I will paint another version someday.

I got it, too, when I read your comment about looking "a little closer at her outfit." Then her expression went from looking vain to looking greedily at her next victim, and I got a little creeped out, and I don't even have a problem with butterfly collectors.

I love all the detail! So naturally I'm going to look closely, and go: ooh, pretty little wings in the jewellery.. and she's.. oh. OH. NICE.
It's a pity more people don't get it! Maybe they just see a pretty lady with a butterfly, and still love it no less. Just miss out on the extra cool bit.

Basically it was anything that was under 12 inches square, so the walls were totally full. At least mine was around eye level.
