Description Part of the stories that I write. I tend to add to my story repetoire if I'm upset, but this is the first time I've actually made a visual thing to go with it.

The story is of an elven woman who is living with Men in the main city as a help to the King. She's not very elflike with raven black hair and grey eyes and is from the forest to the North called Venyataur. She tries to stop King Amras from fulfilling a prophesy that would bring destruction to the Men inhabiting the earth, but fails and fights alongside soilders defending the city against the evil that was waging war. The efforts of everyone were futile though and she watched as many of the citizens were slaughtered and the Flame of the King which was to never go out as long as a King lived went out. After the battle she went up to the tower where the flame was kept. The king was dead and hope had been lost. The flame would remain unlit until a king came once again to fight back the evil in the land, but until then the world would remain in darkness with no real ruler. She lay down in the very heights of the tower, where no one else had ever been save the kings and there she died taking the choice to go to the place across the sea that the King had tried to find rather than live through all the ages without a king and with evil roaming freely.

Oh wow, this is stellar. I adore the colours. And heh, I tend to retreat into fiction when I'm upset...I either beat my characters up mercilessly or somehow try to translate my own situation into their world, at least in a vague way. Of course, just watching them suffer instead of me is plenty therapy. (Yep. I'm sadistic when it comes to writing...)

lol. Nothing happening to me ever happens to my characters. I couldn't stand to see them hurt. I cried when I killed King Amras like there was no tomorrow. My stuff is like LOTR sort of. Different world, elves, Kings that sort of thing

Thank you for the fave too

I wish I was like that. I'm so emotionally absent when I'm writing. I've never laughed at any of my humourous stuff, and nothing I've ever written has made me cry... Maybe that's why my characters hate me. Of course, I get really upset when canon forces me to kill someone that I like in fanfiction...I'm getting far too attached to Halbarad, for one thing.

My stuff's largely LotR fanfiction, and one fantasy novel I'm hoping to get finished and maybe published in a couple of years, not to mention a few random ideas that are just page-long Word documents at the moment. (I want to write a re-telling of St. George and the Dragon based on this exquisitely illustrated picture-book we've had for ages.) I've tried non-fantasy stuff, but it always ends up wrong. It's no fun when I can't make up pretty names, I suppose.
