NOT A CONTENDER the only reason she might show up in the actual competition is if she broke the rules she's supposed to be following and busted some jaws to get through the teleporter.

Name: Desi, short for desert, real name unknown
Age: 24 in human years
Gender: Lady
Species: Repti-mammal (Alien)
Abilities:
Eagle Eyes: Her eye-sight is amazing. Not only can she read a business from a distance of around 60 feet (her vision goes clearly up to about a mile and a half but wouldn’t be able to read small text), but she also is highly tuned in to movement. Meaning simply that anything that moves within her range of vision will get at least a passing glance.
Sharp Shooter: Combined with her eagle eyes she’s an amazingly adept shooter. She can take a can off a fence post a mile away without even batting an eye. However even with her skill with a pistol she is hesitant over using it on actual ‘people’.
Tail Whip: Normally her tail coils up behind her but when she relaxes it it can be effectively used as a replacement for rope. Most notably she uses this to turn her tail in to a literal whip. Closer to the base of her tail it is prehensile and rather strong so she can hold things. In the ‘whip’ portion of her tail it’s still prehensile but not that strong to pick things up and bring them to her. Her limit with the tip of her tail is opening heavy doors. Length details:
Whip length: 10 feet
Prehensile: 6 feet and under
Total Length: 16 feet

Strengths:
- Relatively strong
- Prehensile tail
- Quick reflexes

Weaknesses:
- Not the best at devising plans, nor even particularly following directions
- Hesitant to cause other’s harm
- Overly curious at times
- Acts on emotion, not on brains (doesn’t tend to think out her actions completely)
- At best she can be described physically as 'average'. She has no particular aptitude for anything other than running fast and drawing her weapon. IE: She isn't any stronger than a normal person, nor any smarter (in fact she's probably a bit less than average in the smarts department)
- Because she was born and raised in a desert, she's obviously not adept at extremely cold weather. Paired with the fact that she's part reptile she might actually physically 'freeze up' without a proper amount of warmth to get her going.
- She is not that deft with her hands, having only three large fingers makes it hard to deal with small contraptions. The best she can deal with is her gun, which is custom made to deal with her build. This is admittedly less a weakness than just extremely annoying and hindering her ability to do such things as work telephones or type.
- Her tail is not an all-purpose reach extender. The 'whip' portion is not that strong AT ALL, it can support her weight should she hang from it, but only if the tip is tied around something. She would not be able to lift her weight. In fact at full length the most strenuous thing she can do is open doors and lift half empty glasses of water.
- Similarly the 'whip' of her tail is not very dexterous. If an object is too small, even if she's strong enough to lift it it will take her forever to get a grip on it. (As seen when she had to get Mar's pen in round one).
- She currently has three bullets on her, and has no intention of getting more anytime soon.

Personality: Tends to be rather ‘rough around the edges’. She has a country drawl when she speaks, and has a harsh manner of speaking without meaning to. However she’s really quite friendly, and now that she’s out of her home town always curious. Every new thing she see’s she has to investigate and learn at least a little something about. Advanced technology is completely new to her and she spends a lot of time fiddling around with what most people would consider trivial trinkets to figure them out.
Relatively easy to get along with no matter what. She seems to be more amicable with males, blending in to the point that most view her as ‘one of the guys’. Around women she tends to act more chivalrous. She attributes this to her height claiming that people should pick on other’s their own size, and since women tend to be smaller than she is she’s grown a sort of protective complex where she has to save them.

History: She refuses to talk about it. The most we know is that she grew up in the Aivlis Desert basin and worked as a sort of jack of all trades. She seems to have a fair amount of experience with everything from carpentry to sewing. However, the painted cat has fessed up that her favourite job was always pest control and getting to shoot down targets. She was blamed and arrested for an unknown crime she swears she didn’t commit. Although if you notice she will say that what they are blaming her for wasn’t a crime and that the man that died in the event was an act of self defense. Since running in to the teleporter she’s all but attached to Mar’s hip with the smaller girl is around.

Likes:
- Music in general especially beat heavy music (Ke$ha, Gaga, etc.)
- Hot temperatures
- Meat, any kind of meat, her favourite snacks are dried crickets
- Plants, she didn’t see much growing up so she’s fascinated by them now

Dislikes:
- Anything cold aside from what she’s drinking
- The ‘man’ (this includes police, politicians, and any form of authority)
- People who whine about their situation

Other:
- Her outfits change frequently as she likes to try new things.
- When she can she’ll get a new get-up and wear it around. No matter what though she always wears pants (preferably jeans).
- Is technically supposed to remain at the checkpoints and leave Mar to the race since she is not a registered competitor.
- Has a walkie-talkie sort of device that Mar made so that she can hear everything Mar is doing and talk back to the Quollan. She’ll spend a majority of her time on the observation deck watching Mar’s screen to see what’s going on.
