Description
Shortly after sunrise, these are various geese (mostly) species. It's pretty much impossible to describe this experience, much less capture it in a photo. One reason for this is obviously the vast numbers (both in the sky and in the water, yes - check out the numbers still on the water) but also because these geese like to rest far from the nearest public observation space. So even large telephoto lens photos pulled-in tight still appear as a wide-angle shot. This has been cropped by nearly half from the original so that I could get your eyes a little closer to the action and pull in a bit more detail.
