Those who take sunset photos know that sometimes (if only briefly) when clouds are present (at a certain altitude), colors can improve after the sun is below the horizon. More than once I've packed up and left (regrettably) too soon. While this wasn't a spectacular sunset (by Kansas standards) it provided some nice contrasting colors and details.
