Description
My version of the mysterious Lovecraft's character, but in a new setting for an untold tale of submarine horror. This still rough sketch is the final stage. I´m tired of reworking the same scene. It has been fun, but now it's time for another illustration. I had planned to do it again on better paper using better pencil to add volume, light, shadows and subtle underwater reflections... Too much for me. But I Still like it because I have been able to ink it in a single session, which is something quite unusual in me. So it’s a wrap! (EDIT: NO, it was not a wrap, nor the final versión)

This Picture looks absolutely incredible. I love the scene, the rock formations, the diver flinging with the schools of fish around and the creature design is simply amazing. I would have loved to see it colored or at least shaded Great job.

Oh my, thank you, I am happy to have some influence on the creation of the new piece, because it looks absolutely stunning The shading really makes the depiction more full, dynamic and alive. Great job, also if I may ask, n that I think about it. I know that it is inspired primarily by Lovecrafts Dagon, but I know from my own experience that with art there is rarely only one source of inspiration so I wanted to ask if you got inspired by Opee Sea Devil monster from Star Wars Epsode I. when creating the creature? I am just asking out of curiosity

I can see the inspiration , yet then again, maybe I just subconsciously made the connection because of your Star Wars art Or, the people who were also behind the Opee design were inspired by the same marine creatures from prehistoric era and just took it in a different direction.
Who knows, anyhow your rendition looks absolutely amazing.
