Description
Collaboration between andHawkeye and Green Arrow Team up. Chalyward drew these awesome lines, and the dust/smoke that he included gave me an idea for the background.
The story's that there's this moon mission that needs archers for some STRANGE reason... hey, in the comic world it works. Borrowing some help from the Green Lanterns (so they can breathe, duh) they complete their mission on the moon quickly and efficiently. With bows and arrows. Why not?

Finally! lol been waiting to see the color version of this pic and I must say its good and you improved a lot from the last battle, or it could be that you two are finally getting the feel for each others flow. Ward" I have only seen a few of your lines fully colored other than the ones I did in copic marker back in the day. Digital colors give your lines something extra I cant put my finger on it but whatever it is, its good. And Merides how did you do that smoke! I cant get my smoke to look like that. You must drop me a note on your process for coloring smoke! Love the background...I know its hard trying to come up with a backgroud, I usually spend a lot of time if not hours thinking about the setting the characters will be in. Once I know that I flow better on coloring the main character. Good job guys and good luck!

I always knew I wanted to do a night or space scene from the moment I saw his smoke at the bottom of the picture.
Smoke has always come easy for me, and I'm willing to share my tips with anyone! All I do is use a fuzzy circle at mid-grey (or mid-brown, depending on the piece) and at about 25% opacity. Lay down the basic layer of the smoke, most of the area you'll be covering. Next lighten the color, and increase opacity to about 35%. Sketch over the areas that would be closer to your light source, keeping in mind shadows of the characters and scenery. I usually make this part 'poofier'. Finally, still at 35%, a darker tone of the original color, add in limited shadows. Touch up/repeat process if needed. Then comes the fun part! Grab the smudger and start swirling. Think about how the smoke would be moving with the action of the characters and smudge accordingly!
Hope that helped!

you guys are improving with the tag tandem... Merides i would love to see you color right on Chalyward's pencils...just use levels to adjust the darkness of his lines and i believe you will be able to create a lot of depth. also after you are done digi painting with the colors as a separate layer change the opacity to like 90-93% to lines can shine through as well...you'd be surprise how it turns out.

I'll give that a shot next time, then! I've enjoyed learning how to ink on his lines, though - it's only the fourth and fifth time I've ever inked a whole piece

Nice work you two. Way to bring in a fight for the 3 way tag match! I love Green arrows face, and the way the moon came out! Very well done.
