My best friend wanted a plushie of Dark Link, her main Smash Bros character, for her birthday. Of course, I made one for her.

He's crocheted (with shiny yarn around the sleeves and bottom of the tunic to look like chainmaille) and has a felt under-tunic, belts, and bracer, and his sword, scabbard, and shield are painted polymer clay (I'm really proud of that shield- I had to paint with the back of the paintbrush to get it thin enough). I even painted the boots to look like his boots, but since it was a slightly lighter black color on top of black, it doesn't show up too well.

I did realize after giving this to her that I forgot to give Dark Link his earrings; I'll do that this weekend. I also realized as I was putting it together that the paint on the one eye got scratched, but by then the eye was already in the doll and I couldn't fix it. It's okay, though- now it looks like light reflecting off it, so it looks more natural, I think.
