Here is the second swan mask I made last night. Yes, I couldn't sleep. Most insomniacs play video games...I like to make things.This stylized swan is done in a Venetian style, with silver swirls. I think it might be fun to do as a black swan, with gold swirls! It's a brand new design, so it remains to be seen whether it'll be popular enough to come in different colors (but yeah a black swan with the red beak would be ~so~ fun to do...).
As ever, hand carved, hand shaped leather, painted with Liquitex acrylics. This is "Swan #2", the second of this design, and available at my online Etsy shop: [link]

I love the beak! It's simplified, but still you can still tell what animal the mask is supposed to be. The silver swirls are a nice touch as well.

Personally I think a black swan mask sounds like a fantastic idea! There are real black swans (they're so pretty!), so who knows, maybe someone out there adores them and just needs to have a mask.

I don't know ... I like it a lot, but I would have loved to see it without the swirls. Maybe more swan-like. Other than that, I love the contrast between the black and the white.

lol I'll say! Maybe not a feel good movie, but definitely an inspiring one for visual imagery. The subtle hints at transformation from bird to human are so well done in that. I'm going to see it a 2nd time to see what little clues I might've missed the first time around.

Yeah me too! It looks amazing and I could use one, instead of a whole swan suit. Which would be quite impossible and too expensive to make.
