Not for a contest this time
. I was inspired by the last episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The scene where Sarah was reading "The Wizard of Oz" to Martin Bedell really impressed me deeply.

The witch looked into the child's eyes and saw how simple the soul behind them was and then she did now know of her wonderful power. The witch said to Dorothy "Come with me, for if you do not, I will make an end of you." The little girl grew angry. "You are a wicked creature", she cried. In her anger she picked up a bucket of water that stood near and dashed it over the witch, wetting her from head to foot. The witch gave a cry of fear. As Dorothy looked in wonder, the witch began to shrink away. "See what you have done!", the witch screamed, "I shall melt away." With these words, she fell into a melted shapless mass. The wicked witch had come to an end. Being at last free to do as she chose, Dorothy ran. No longer a prisoner in a strange land.

Hi Meropa, I am very fond of your Wicked piece. I am starting a print magazine called Famazon which is about (mostly) female fans of sci-fin/fantasy/anime/horror and I was wondering if I could include a photo of Wicked in my 1st issue along with some info about you.
I cannot pay for the use of your artwork unfortunately, but I would be happy to promote you in the magazine: include a link to deviantart so people can buy your stuff etc.
I do not wish to own your artwork or make a profit off it. You would keep all copyrights - you would just be giving me permission to use a photo of your art in my magazine and possible future use for marketing like if I print out posters and want to show samples of what goes in the magazine.
Check out my myspace page where I am centralizing info and contacting writers and artists for the mag: [link] and let your friends who are artists and writers know I'm looking for great work by women. The 1st issue features "Twilight", but I am also including stories and stuff about other fan favorites like comics etc.
If you do agree to let me use your artwork in the 1st issue, I will need a jpg of the picture in the highest resolution possible. I like this piece so much I'd like it to be a full page.
Please let me know if you will let me show off your artwork in Famazon.
