Description
An old internet acquaintance who has since left DA designed a custom plugsuit for his OC recently, and when I saw it I just *had* to draw a matching Eva.
I gave it the visor, curving shoulder wings, and extra body segment of Kaworu's Mark 6, and its headpiece is loosely based on a Saint Seiya helm. As for the pose, I thought about how much Unit 02 reflected Asuka's attitude in the rebuilds (the only link I could find of the pose was this action figure: [link] ), I decided to make this Eva's stance reflect the mannerisms of *its* pilot. 
The background is a screenshot of the Geofront from the Eva rebuilds.

Hmm, are we thinking of the same person? (I didn't know him personally, but the one I have in mind had a well-known OC often designed in orange/gold/yellow colours, and the pose looks like it would indeed fit him.)

It's probably who you're thinking of. ^_^ I've been following him on Facebook recently, he's still doing fantastic art. I was so sad when he left DA, it was great to find him again.

Ahh, I'll have to check on FB then. I hadn't been following him for long when he left, and unfortunately I easily tend to lose track when I don't have convenient websites to keep me updated.
