Description The party from a recent Pathfinder game, done in Adventure Time style. Man, was it hard to take dungeonpunk and simplify it down to this... but really fun!

The party:
Ash, Keleshite Cleric
Xenvia, half-drow ranger
Morvius, human monk (and Shadowmist, his horse)
Coral, mermaid sorceror
Vehran, dhampir oracle (and his vampire ghost dad who haunts him, Edvarius)
Zeldana, human dancing bard

It's printable up to about 16x20, if someone wanted to print it.

I don't, sadly. Β I find that it's really difficult to match up schedules, and on top of that I'm sick a lot, so I can't reliably make it to sessions. Β

Is Edvarius just a normal Dracula-style vampire or is he one of the sub-types? And why is he trapped as ghost, story-wise? What is tying him to his son specifically?Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Merowynn In reply to CassiWWF [2015-06-12 22:53:24 +0000 UTC]

He was a pretty traditional Dracula-esque vampire. Β

Vehran was an Oracle of Ancestors, and the GM allowed modification so that it was one specific Ancestor granting him power rather than a whole family line. Β

As for what was tying them together specifically, Vehran was embittered by the weakness of humans, and was seeking to become more like his vampire half. Β He spent much of his life looking for his father, only to find the ruins of his castle and his ashes in a broken coffin. Β The only salvageable treasure left was a ruby hat pin. Β When he picked it up, he found it was possessed by the ghost of his father, and touching it bonded him to the ghost. Β The ghost of Edvarius told him that he knew the location of an item that would allow Vehran to become fully vampire, which is why Vehran didn't simply have the ghost exorcised. Β What Vehran didn't know was that the item would actually Edvarius him to steal Vehran's body and transform it into his old body... so *technically* he wasn't lying. Β XD Β Sadly, we never got that far in the game.

Its strange because a Maestro sorcerer or sorceress gives them bard-ish abilities which is sort-of redundant if the party already had a bard. Speaking of the bard... does "Dancing Bard" mean she uses dancing as opposed to music for magic?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Merowynn In reply to CassiWWF [2015-07-06 20:07:49 +0000 UTC]

It was a bit redundant, but the bard wasn't able to attend regularly, so the overlap wasn't too terrible. Β And yes, she used dancing instead of music, though she wore bells on her ankles.

I've spent a bit of time thinking now, but if Vehran's vampire ghost dad haunts him, does that mean he has no "alone time"?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Merowynn In reply to SynGrimoire [2014-01-22 06:15:04 +0000 UTC]

The way it worked in the book, it sounds like the ghost isn't there *all* the time, but shows up randomly to mess with the character at inconvenient times. Β So he might get some alone time, but there'd be no guarantee of privacy. Β XD

SynGrimoire In reply to Merowynn [2014-01-22 21:42:13 +0000 UTC]

Just imagine being an adventurer and everytime you're about to have some privacy with you favorite party member, your Ghost Dad pops out of nowhere to give "advice".

Pathfinder's a lot of fun! One of the more user friendly d20 systems, though all d20 is pretty complicated at first. I'm finally getting the hang of it after about 5 years. ^_^;

Soo cool! Also, it's really a pain to have a mermaid in the group right? Our warrior turned into mermaid in the reencarnation spell, then her charge was 10 feet long T.T

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Merowynn In reply to OmarSzkarr [2013-05-31 23:13:16 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, and normal movement is 5 ft! We had a wheelbarrow we'd push her around in when we weren't in a fight. XD Eventually she got an item that gave her legs for a few hours a day, what a relief!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

OmarSzkarr In reply to Merowynn [2013-06-01 01:44:59 +0000 UTC]

In our party every character eventually gets some kind of "mutation". Because of a curse, our mermaid turned into a twisted part-demon, part-devil, part-Leonal, part-mermaid! Now everybody fear her, although the process didn't make her evil.
