Another character with complex clothing! The ume, or plum blossom pattern was drawn by hand.
I swear, the pompadour is NOT my fault. ~dkmsart insisted.
Fun Fact: Ryuichi is accidentally left-handed! You can tell by the side he wears his swords on. He was one of the first characters I drew, so I wasn't thinking about what direction he was facing, and it ended up being the wrong one. ^_^; I flipped the drawing and corrected the clothes in the final version, but decided to keep him left-handed.

So magistrates means demon-slayers? Or is he a magistrate who so happens to be a demon slayer in the past?

In our setting they're a lot like the FBI, or high ranking police. It's their job to investigate crime and bring criminals to justice; it just so happened that early in their careers, there was a huge problem with a demon-summoning cult of magic users. So they ended up killing a lot of demons in the process of taking down the cult. Now that there aren't as many summoners around, they deal with more typical crime.
