The two men who wrote the stories of the railway. The Rev Wilbert Awdry wrote 26 books in the Railway Series, then several years later his son Christopher took over. I have to believe, it's been 10 years since it was 100th year of when the Rev W. Awdry was born, and when his son Christopher wrote his last book of the Railway Series. So this year, it's the 110th year when he was born.
