Description
After not drawing Relana for a while, I thought I'd redesign her and give her a new look. Even after trying to get away from her blue tang origins, I found that it's just an integral part of her character. I also tried sitting through illustrating a coral reef--I'm trying to go for really detailed pieces now, so I'll see how far I get with this project.This is also part of #PromoteArt 's Underwater Life contest. It's a one-entry contest and I thouuught I was gonna draw another entry before the deadline, but I'm gonna stick with this one.

I remember her!
I love her expression and her character seems very silly and playful which makes her very appealing. All the colors add to that playful feeling and draw the viewer in because of fun vibe. At least that's what I feel when I look at this. 
I remeber liking her design before. Seeing it again tweaked or not it looks good.

Thank you so very much! It took me a few days to figure out how the heck I was gonna go about detailing all the coral. I love working with bright colors, so I had to go with obnoxiously vibrant stuff.
