And to those messaging me about Dissidia 12, no I still haven't played yet! XD; But I plan to do so soon enough.

...Yeah...hard to imagine that personality swap there (transitions from shy and brusque to chipper and friendly (and visa-verse) are rather difficult to pull off), but I tried! Headcanons included! (though the only noticeable one was a thick British accent, though I imagine the other with a French accent so subtle that you'd have to listen veeeeeerrrrry carefully in order to actually notice it's there...I like to slap accents on characters, as you can tell)

argh! if i had to choose the most annoying line from this game, it'd be this one. but haha this is pretty funny. When rinoa does it, it doesn't really work. if squall does it... it's even worse.

Squall DOES have a personality, everyone! He's just an introvert. It's fear that has pretty much caused him to close up. He wants to be happy - he's just afraid to open up to people at the risk of being "abandoned" again. Introverts DO have a personality! Heck, I'm one myself.
Here's the good news for all Squall whiners: Thank God for Rinoa! She was the only one whom was able to completely open him - get him to trust people again and let him see that not everyone is going to leave him. Yes, I'm aware Quistis had something to do with that, too, but Rinoa is the one whom got through to him the most. If it weren't for her, Squall would never have opened up again - at least not as easily.
Just one reason why I love SquallxRinoa!
Sorry if it sounds like I'm being rude, but I just hate when people label Squall as "uncaring" or with "no personality". You don't have to smile to have a personality. All throughout the game he reveals (and, at one point, in good detail) why he is how he is. Play the game again, read carefully - and you'll understand.

Thanks. I'm glad someone agrees with me. I hate all of the complaints FFVIII gets - most of them are ridiculous and clearly illustrate everyone's ignorance. How many actually PLAYED the game? I have to wonder...
