An ooooooold AiAi collab with that I finally finished! Of all the WIPs I had still wanted to finish, this one is the oldest, maybe like three years old? xD But damn, was it eye-opening to dig out again! My techniques and styles for coloring has changed a LOT since first starting this, and I'm sure we can all agree Ami and I's anatomy on character drawing has improved quite a lot since then as well x'D I do not remember if this was one I sketched first or Ami had sketched, but she did the lineart and the base coloring while I did all the shading and the background! Bringing this WIP out again, I realize my past self reaaaaaally liked abusing overlay layers ;;>.> Glad that's a habit I have quite reduced in my current art style! A big part of why this WIP got left behind back then was because I had a very tedious, time-consuming way of shading while having a few too many artworks to do of this style in a short span of time. Things like I had put far too much effort into a Secret Santa at the time... and I had some art trade or something else that also was demanding, and a different collab. All of these at the same time was draining to my past self while trying to maintain a standard of quality for shading/detail that perhaps I shouldn't have been doing so much of at the same time haha;; Alas, this is definitely the last of an era for that particular art style xD Also, this is a bit too... warm in colors for me and not balanced enough in warm vs cool LOL;; Though I also have to say... some of the WIPs I'm working on from just a year ago also have very different styles from my current self. I had thought I had stagnated in art and yet these older WIPs are showing me that my style and technique is constantly changing. Kinda wild!

Anyway, this came from which was pretty much the "peak era" for AiAi stuff <3 Still my OTP and I have no idea what kind of OTP it would have to be to beat them out! They have truly been through everything and grew a lot. It was hilarious a few months ago going back and reading what their very first RP posts were like. AIBEK WAS... SUCH... AN ASSHOLE... LMAO. Nowadays he is trying to be friendly and see the good in everyone. A total fluff! Aidon has also grown a lot, becoming more mature and taking on more responsibilities. They also have joined forced with their childhood friends Yuuki and Austin, as well as befriended their childhood bully, Chloe, who has joined their ranks. I have quite a few WIPs piled up that include all five of them together so hopefully I can finish a few of those soon as well The AiAi legacy and story sure has expanded way beyond their original group of Alterblast !

Oh yes, this scene was from when they were still staying at a cabin in the forest of Asteria belonging to an Andaeli named Wu Rei who is one of Ami's characters! Ami has some art in her gallery of when Wu Rei set AiAi off on their journey through Asteria way back then. Eventually they would meet a whole bunch of characters, including their eventual contract partners, who will get art soon?? Maybe??? Hopefully????

Lastly, sorry for the lack of replies to things this past week. I've been extremely sick and some things happened to where I found myself in an anemic state again. Even right now my hand is shaking a little haaaa;; I will be okay, though!

I have, at minimum, one more thing I'd like to finish before Christmas hits. There might be more if I can feel better.
