Remember, I did say Karen was no born hero.

But there is a plausible reason as to why she was so downright horrifying...

Humans were unkind to her as a kid, she was out trying to stay alive in the badlands, an outer ring to the civilized world. Being kind was off the table from the word go. So after years of being pushed around and... well, stabbed, she stabbed back, and promptly went insane, the number of kills she has is staggering, when considered a large portion of them were armed and trained soldiers. She just, takes too much to stop. Almost seemed unstoppable for a number of years...genetics are fun when it decides something like this should exist, worse still, she is very middle of the road when it comes to the rest of her kind. Imagine if something like the leader of the royal guards was left on a planet of far weaker beings and they decided to attack her instead... planet would be decimated in about half a decade.
