A render of the tire and rim! Nowhere near final, but still, it's lookin' pretty good to meMade and rendered in Blender 2.59.

Wow was this hard to make. What kind of modelling process did you use? Did you start in the middle or the outside?

Not really that hard, to be honest. Just need to outline the important bits like the bolt-holes and the holes in the rim first, much easier to manage afterwards I also usually start it completely flat and then extrude the different parts - you just have to visualize where those extrusions are going to be beforehand.

well, I'm trying it's one of my self-assigned missions as a Blender-head, try to get good, realistic results from the Internal Render Engine

i used to be able to do that with Mini's,nothing compared to richard hammonds ability to identify every porsche..they all look the same to me

lol, I wonder how that power would come in handy... Minis, that's another car there are millions of around here, they're everywhere! I actually have one in Gran Turismo 5, painted British Racing Green (best green ever, haha)
lol, Hammond does seem to know them all, doesn't he? they can be kinda hard to differentiate, especially the newer Carreras... they look awesome though

British racoing green, i actually have a scale model,diecast Mini cooper model in my bedroom, its pretty big, and heavy..but still awesoem also got another in red, and a smaller one in yellow.
GT5, i really need to try that, apparently its the best racer of this Gen..
