Well Ladies & Gentleman - He's FINALLY done.
Nearly a month has passed for this - but Optimus is finally complete!
Now - I know he's not absolutely perfect, but like I said in the sneak peek for this - 99.99% of this was done explicitly from memory. Only areas that were truly giving me a hard time - (Like the internal chest region and the legs) - required the use of a reference.
But even then, all and all I do feel like he turned out rather well. TOOK FOREVER - but he did turn out.
As far as the references go - I'd like to give a great big THANK YOU to my awesome mullety friend - TEH MULL3T IS OFFICIALLY NUMERO UNO IN MY BOOK~ Even though your a Decepticon
Also - before I disappear and sleep for a month - I'd like to point out that there were several times during the duration of this project that I seriously just wanted to quit - but thanks to some awesome tunes, I was able to stay focused.

Anyway guys - I hope all of you like this and/or at least find it to be fairly accurate. Like I said, It took a super long time to complete...Mostly cuz I'm a serious perfectionist and I just couldn't leave well-enough alone and I had to keep going back into the main file and keep changing things.......
But COME ON...Who doesn't do that??? Right??
All the same - please feel free to leave a comment with a suggestion of how you think I can improve if you think I need to.
I mean - I KNOW I can always improve - but... well...you know what I mean.

Have you drawn one half and mirrored the rest or have you drawn each piece solo? Because that looks like a lot of anchor points in on vector.

Actually - Yes. Essentially I did do one half and then mirrored the shapes.
But even still - there were a lot of points where I had to connect and unify the center-most shapes to form one connected path. A lot of it was working from the back of the image and then moving to the front to form the appearance of the innermost parts being underneath Optimus's exterior armor. All in all this piece has approximately 6,500 individual points. So you are correct sir. It DOES have a lot of anchor points. I'm not gonna sugar-coat it, it was kind of a pain at times. BUT - I like to think that the finished product was well worth the headaches. ^^
And OMG he's so CUTE~!!! x3

Oh wow you did a amazing job on this! I love how the ink lines An colors come together. Almost looks like a 2D model! Keep up the outstanding work! You should consider taking commissions for these (if you have time for them that is.) your art is amazing, I love it. Please do more! XD

The fact he can do silly faces is just the icing on the cake
You even remembered to make his fingers get wider at the ends, and those giant red shoulder guards are above his shoulders I wanted to punch MYSELF in the face building those stupid things

But OMG YES THE FINGERS...At first - I really didn't give it much thought, and made them just like - idk - normal fingers but metal...but after watching a few episodes of TFP - I literally at one point paused the television, got up, walked over to the screen and screamed because I realized that his fingers did in fact get wider at the end. But...at least I can say I caught that...right?
And I feel your pain when it comes to those BLASTED SHOULDER GUARDS.... I lost count of the minutes I spent trying to get them JUST RIGHT... and when I finally did, I wanted to smack my head and say - "it isn't worth this"... BUT IT WAAAAASSS!!!
AND OMGoodness...YOU JUST GAVE ME AN IDEA... *runs away to start something else*

The worst robot I ever built was Knockoff, more specifically his chest / neck pieces. WHY DO YOU NEED LIKE 6 LAYERS OF METAL SPANX?
One good thing about the TFP and Animated designs is that they have a very distinctive look - you can make a very good guesstimate of what a tiny piece will look like until you can find a reference image for it 
Pffffffhahahahahahaaaaaaa building these robtoses is the perfect balance between love and hate. You're sat there at stupid o'clock in the morning battling to the death with Megatron's stupid helmet-eyebrow things and questioning why you inflict this sl*g upon yourself... then a few days later when he is released the whole Internet rejoices and it was indeed all worth it
And I'm sorry but that rainbow la and spinny chair smiley are just the happiest things ever
Now if you'll plese excuse me I'm going to cower in fear at what is about to happen next

Lol~ I don't know that I would go with anything THAT big - but - still...that would be pretty awesome.
Ya know - at first I kind of wanted to say that I find it hard to believe that Knockout was that hard for you to build - BUT - after enduring the shenanigans that came along with doing this - and then comparing them to what you do (which by the way is way more than what I can ever do) - I CAN VERY EASILY BELIEVE THAT KNOCKOUT WAS MORE THAN A LITTLE DIFFICULT.
Still, it never ceases to amaze me just how gratifying it is to finish a design for one of dem big, luvable robutts.
The only problem is that - MAKING GIANT EFFIN ROBOTS IS SO ADDICTING~!!!! But I'm sure this you already know~

Lol, thank you~ It was a long time in the making and more than a few nights sitting up in a very uncomfortable chair with a computer in my lap. Nonetheless, I'm very happy to be able to say that it's done. ^^ lol.
And please do check the music out~! I can't guarantee that it will all be to your liking (considering there's some Electro Swing thrown into the mix) but...nonetheless, I'm sure there's something there you might like. =]
