This movie violates one of the long established canons (rules) of the super-hero fight. Nobody actually wins. Both protagonists reach a stalemate and determine to team up and fight the bad guy who has most likely engineered the fight in the first place. Unfortunately this movie sees Batman emerge as the undisputed champion as he grinds Superman into the rubble under his steel boot. Why? Simply because he can? How does this contribute to the plot? How on earth is Superman expected to ever work WITH Batman in any future 'league'? Why should Superman bother dusting himself off to go and face an adversary of Kryptonian provenance infinitely MORE powerful than Batman who has beaten him almost to death? Don't worry about it Clark, you'll be dead.

All the great work done in Man of Steel to re-create the Superman myth for a new generation has been completely wrecked. This movie (BvS) sees criminality, cynicism and cruelty in this new-age Batman rewarded while nobility, altruism and, above, hope, as established in Man of Steel, are ground into the rubble of a disused Gotham train station. I used feel sorry for Batman - not any more.

Not the best superhero movie but awesome regardless.  I don't care what critics say, it delivered.
