At first, judging by the thumbnail I saw on the cute art club, I thought you had used digital media to make this, but once I viewed the full picture, I noticed this was indeed a acrylic painting. Fantastic work with the color scheme and especially the texture in the background. Like =anda0105 said before me, your style would really suit a story book of sorts - it's both cute and fresh! :>

Hello! Critique, as you requested on #Traditional-Media 's blog:
First of all, I must say I love the color scheme. It is so dreamy with the pastel tones, and warm and fuzzy.... I won't say anything about anatomy, since the mermaid looks fine as it is. There are many ways to paint human body without anatomy, and especially at princesses/fairies/mermaids it looks very good. (still if you are curious, you can take a look at `Cedarseed 's tutorials regarding human anatomy)
Now, some things I think you should/could improve: The background lacks the depth of a sea-bottom.. You can suggest it by painting some light rays just as they pierce the water (example: [link] ). Another thing that bothers me is the bubble which is pretty flat too. When painting bubbles, you must always keep in mind that they are transparent, and their shape is given only by the light that hits the surface. In this case, the round contour and highlights. Also, underwater bubbles are not very well defined as a round shape - they are basically pieces of air making their way up through the water molecules, and are affected by every move of the water. See an example here: [link]
You can do transparency with acrylics by mixing a little amount of colour with a lot of water (the more transparent you want it, the more water you add) and before actually painting, dry the brush a little in a tissue (this is what I do). This way, you won't water the canvas and the colour will be very light and fast-drying. You can add some transparency to the pink swimmers too (by adding a soft shade of blue on the light parts).
Anyway, these are just tricks to make your future works (hopefully) better and to help you improve your technique. Your way of painting things is already interesting, and I like how the sea plants look like her hair. That's a nice way to create harmony in a work. Your style could work very well on children's books and stuff like that. Maybe you could do some.. But until then, keep up the good work
Cheers!
