Experimenting with new ways to texture planets. Similar to the old way, but focused more on creating more recognizeable and planetlike features (Canals, great open plains and such -- think Mars, or even oribtal views of Africa). This is the first product of such work.

Don't critique this like it's a finished work -- it isn't. But it's pretty much done, on an individual basis (Obviously, it's not in a scene). I just thought I'd post it for you guys to see.

While I don't necessarily want finished-level critiques, I would appreciate pointers, tips, or comments. While this isn't finished, it is pretty close, so if you'd like to see certain things that aren't there now, do tell!
