Personality: Unlike most of the members of the Alliance, Rose led a fairly normal life. A 17-year-old girl with a living family, who goes to school, never bare witness to any personal tragedy or accident and never grew up with superpowers. Rose is an optimistic dreamer above all, despite having no superpowers, she dreamt of being a superhero throughout most of her life since a young age. Rose comes from a long line of heroes; her great grandfather was a medic in WWII who saved many lives on the field. Her grandfather was a former cop and after a serious injury he later became a private eye, he was also an informant for the Judges crime fighting group that would later become W.A.S.S.P. her grandma formerly worked for intelligence and a leading figure in Megalopolis’ women’s rights. Her dad is a firefighter and her mum a former marine and current doctor. Rose grew up with an affinity for superheroes and superpowers, also with a love for comics and fiction, Rose became inspired to become a superhero with deep admiration for the super powered protectors, a strong desire to help people and a firm belief that you don’t need powers to make a difference or be a superhero, wanting to inspire those who never tried.

Despite her rather intimidating appearance as the Red Rider, her personality doesn’t change. Rose is possibly the most upbeat member of the Alliance and the Five. Contradicting with her best friend Ariel, Rose is an extroverted person. Happy go lucky, bubbly, hyperactive, zealous, excitable, quirky and outgoing with plenty of energy to spare. Rose is a friendly, kind-hearted, gentle, cheerful, caring, eager, enthusiastic and loving girl, who always tries to be nice to people, help those in need, make others happy and sees the good in all. Rose is also a funny and rather zany person who loves to make others laugh and smile, rarely seen without one herself, she is also really talkative and can occasionally ramble without knowing when to stop talking. Her quirky nature can sometimes annoy some of her teammates such as the sullener Tigerclaw, but both her teams apricate her for her pure heart, bravery and caring nature and her ability to keep the team together and lighten the mood. Rose is also considerably brave, resilient and adventurous, with strong ambitions to be a good hero and a thirst to please. Rose is also good at making friends, as displayed by her friendship with the shyer Ariel Bell. In addition to all this Rose is a cute and sweet girl who cares about others deeply, also displayed by her refusal to kill and her value for life. Being a long-time fan of superheroes, she is something of a walking encyclopaedia on anything related and enjoys studying about them. Rose despite seemly unfathomably sweet is also spunky, plucky and rather snarky, adding to her joker nature, she will often crack jokes or puns when working and will often mock her foes and isn’t afraid to speak her mind or stand up to others often with a “bring it on” attitude. Rose is also a determined, resourceful, resilient and capable girl, having studied since a young age in martial arts, hand to hand fighting, athleticism, parkouring and handling of weapons. She is also skilled in espionage and tactics, making her a highly capable hero and a force to be reckoned with. She also has a love for adventure and excitement. Rose is also hard worker above all and can sometimes go for long hours with eating or sleeping, making her something of a workaholic. She is as a result, an intelligent and book smart girl with a sharp memory. Rose is also a typical nerd or geek, with a love for fantasy, superheroes, anime, manga, video games and sci fi, and will often fan girl with glee over such topics. Rose is also a generous person, as she is known for baking food for local charities and food banks to aid her community.

However, Rose isn’t without flaws. She is a rather immature, inexperienced and naïve person, particularly when she first started out as a superhero. Her first attempt at stopping crime was somewhat successful, even though she managed to fend off the crooks, she received immense pain from the fight, which landed her in hospital. Despite this she still kept trying and became more mature and wiser, this along with other experiences would traumatise her and she also became more experienced and mature. Still displaying great courage in the face of danger. Even though she was aware of the dangers beforehand, experiencing them was another thing. This also extends to her being somewhat overly trusting of others. Rose is also rather emotional, not afraid to cry or show how she feels, she can however seem rather aggressive though not violent when in combat or when interacting with others. Despite this she isn’t a cry-baby and still a bold and able hero and when the situation arises is more focused and serious but still retains her joyful personality. Rose can also be noted for being somewhat of a klutz, having a habit of running into things headfirst without thinking which results in her tripping over her feet, making her rather clumsy. Rose also feels that she doesn’t fit in sometimes with her teammates, more because most experienced unpleasant events, that inspired the to become heroes, and she felt worried that she hadn’t a right to stand with them for this reason. However, after the reassurance of her friends and team, this insecurity softened. She also feels pressure of having to keep her alter ego secret from her family, not wanting to worry them. However, when asked she isn’t the best at keeping secrets and has a deep sense of honesty, but this is one of the few cases she tries her best in. Despite all this Rose is still a true hero at heart, proving that despite not having powers she is one of the most resilient and capable heroes, with an unwavering sense of hope and optimism, who is tremendously loyal to her team and friends and is always determined to accomplish her dream.
Rose also has a love for sweets and an appetite to match, a trait that she shares with her two best friends, Ariel and Abby and enjoys the simpler things in life with them, such as going to conventions, gaming and shopping- this she shares more with Ariel then Abby. Rose also looks up to both Amazon and Guardia, having something of a big sister relationship with the two. Amazon often helps her train and spars with her, and Rose deeply admires the two as heroes. She also deeply respects and looks up to Blade Noir, who is her mentor and sometimes field partner. At first Blade was somewhat distant and was a bit exasperated by her, however after getting to know her and seeing her in action, he saw potential in the young girl and agreed to take her on as his protégé. Developing something of a fatherly or big brother affection towards her.

She wears brown leather belt straps around her waist, which house most of her weapons. She wears a black armoured face mask, with white glowing lenses and a dark bandana on the mouth. Finally, her most vital part of her costume is her bright red hooded cape/ cloak/ that was given to her by her grandmother.

. Red Rider first came to be after I had imagined a vigilante like character with a red cape similar to Little Red Riding Hood, that I thought looked really cool. It was after seeing other superhero teams with a more chipper character, I felt like my main group was missing that, at first, I was going to give that role to The Liberty Kid however I then remembered the Red caped hero and thought it would be perfect for her, thus the Red Rider was born and is possibly one of my favourites.

. Red Rider was obviously inspired by the folklore character Little Red Riding Hood, such as her name, look and relationship with her grandmother. Her love for giving goodies and baking was also inspired by the story, where Little Red took a basket of goods to her sick grandmother.
